Cleaning your Krea Touch Coffee Machine

Steps to Cleaning your Krea Coffee machine:

DRIP TRAY AND CUP STAND – EMPTY AND CLEAN FREQUENCY = DAILY DEPENDING ON VOLUME

The cup stand can be removed easily by unclipping from the metal support. Tilt it up one side then pull out to remove and clean.

The main drip tray is located at the front base of the machine and will need emptying and cleaning daily, accessed by opening the front door on the coffee machine.

Turn the key (half way up on the left hand side) on the coffee machine to open coffee machine door. Open the panel fully to access the components.

The drip tray can be removed by carefully sliding it out. Once separated empty the tray and remove the grill for cleaning. Squeezing the two plastic clips each side separates the grill. When the drip tray becomes full It will read ‘EMPTY THE TRAY’ on the machine digital display.

The machine will automatically recognise that the liquid waste has been emptied.

GROUT BIN – EMPTY AND CLEAN FREQUENCY = DAILY DEPENDING ON VOLUME

The grout bin collects all the coffee grounds and should be emptied every day depending on volume.

Open the front door and you will see the Blue grout bin that collects the used coffee grounds. There is a small handle available (top left) for pulling the grout bin out, then empty and clean.

The Krea Coffee Machine has a counter to prompt you to empty the grout bin when full. It will read ‘WASTE CONTAINER FULL’ on the machine digital display. If you do not empty the grout bin when prompted the machine will not allow you to make any more coffee based drinks.

After you have closed the door the machine will start back in its normal operating menu. Swipe right to left once and then press the settings icon (cog wheel at top of screen). A kepad is then displayed. Input 3333 followed by the “tick” icon. Press “daily actions” in the next menu and choose the “empty solid waste” option. Screen will display the grout bin and how full it currently is. Press “reset solid waste” icon. ONLY DO THIS IF YOU HAVE EMPTIED THE GROUT BIN. FAILURE TO DO THIS CAN LEAD TO THE BREWER GETTING CLOGGED RESULTING IN THE MACHINE FAILING

CAUTION! – TURN OFF POWER

Always turn off the machine before handling. You can turn off the power using the switch located in the bottom right of the machine.

BREW UNIT COVER

Remove the blue brew unit cover for easier access by pinching/holding (step 1) the handle near the top and pulling towards you (step 2).

MIXING BOWLS – REMOVE AND CLEAN FREQUENCY = WEEKLY DEPENDING ON VOLUME

Turn the key (half way up on the left hand side) on the coffee machine to open the top front panel. Open the panel fully to access the components.

Lift the instant powder dispensing mouths by pulling them up (step 1), Detach the tube from the bottom of the mixer (step 2).
While holding one of the two mixing bowls with one hand use the other hand to push the small green handle at the bottom of the mixing bowl counter clockwise to unlock (step 3). Pull the blue mixing bowl out towards you to remove.

You can split the mixing bowl into 3 pieces (step 4) to assist in cleaning. Wash clean, dry and re-assemble. It is also worth checking that there are no blockages in the pipe as this can cause problems.

Also remove the 2 mixer impellers for cleaning (step 5).

After cleaning the square end of the mixing bowl slides back into the square hole. When in place rotate the green handle to lock it in place. Reconnect the blue hose to the bottom of the mixing bowl.

MIXER TRAY AND NOZZLE CARRIER PLATE – REMOVE AND CLEAN FREQUENCY = WEEKLY DEPENDING ON VOLUME

Disconnect the four blue hoses on the front of the nozzle carrier plate (step 1), then detach the hoses from their support midway up (step 2).

Now the hoses are clear, disconnect the hose underneath the mixer tray as well. Now unscrew the knurl from the mixer tray to release it (step 3), pull the tray towards you to remove, empty and clean.

After cleaning slide back into place, securing with the knurl. And re-connect the hoses.

BREW UNIT – REMOVE AND CLEAN FREQUENCY = WEEKLY DEPENDING ON VOLUME

Remove the cover from the brew unit if you havent already removed it. Rotate the coffee outlet nozzle (Step 1) by 90° and pull it. Operate the unit’s green retaining lever’s (Step 2) and rotate them to arrange hori-zontally. Pull the coffee unit out to remove (step 3).

Clean the brew unit Whenever you load or at least once a week, clean around the brew unit and remove all coffee residues. Remove all powder by means of a brush or a small vacuum-cleaner. Rinse the brew unit beneath a water jet. Re-position the brew unit by carrying out all operations in the rever-se order

COFFEE BEAN HOPPER – REMOVE AND CLEAN FREQUENCY = WEEKLY DEPENDING ON VOLUME

Lift the lid to access the coffee bean hopper. Make sure that you close the green shutter at the bottom of the bean hopper (step 1).

Once the green shutter is closed you can remove the coffee bean hopper for cleaning (step 2). You may need to use de-tanning powder to fully remove the coffee stains.

INSTANT POWDER CANISTERS – REMOVE AND CLEAN FREQUENCY = WEEKLY DEPENDING ON VOLUME

Lift the lid to access the Instant powder canisters. Make sure that you have lifted (step 1) the instant powder dispensing mouths by pulling them up.

Pull each individual container out (step 2). Clean and make sure completly dry before putting back.

After replacing all components, push the power switch inside, close the lid and then the front door. Lock the door closed by turning the key.

The machine will then take a few minutes to heat back up. The exact amount of time will depend on how long the door has been open for and therefore how long the heater has been off for.

Running wash/rinsing cycle on the Krea Touch:

When the machine is in its normal operating menu swipe right to left once
Then press the settings icon (cog wheel at top of screen)
A kepad is then displayed. Input 3333 followed by the “tick” icon.
Press “daily actions” in the next menu
Press “rinsing” option
Machine will give you the option to rinse both mixing bowls and the coffee brewer together or each component part separately. Press whichever option you require.
MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE A CONTAINER UNDER THE NOZZLES FOR THE WATER TO DISPENSE INTO
THIS IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR TAKING THE MIXING BOWLS OUT AND CLEANING BY HAND. FAILURE TO TAKE THE MIXING BOWLS OUT AND CLEAN BY HAND WILL ULTIMATELY LEAD TO BLOCKAGES AND MACHINE FAILURES
