DRIP TRAYS AND CUP STANDS – EMPTY AND CLEAN FREQUENCY = DAILY DEPENDING ON VOLUME

The main drip tray is located at the front base of the machine and will need emptying and cleaning. Remove the front panel (hold each side) by carefully sliding it out (bottom third of the front facia). Once removed you can empty the tray and remove the grill for cleaning.

The smaller elevated cup stand can can also be unclipped from the metal supporting pole, and the grill can be removed for cleaning.

BLUE GROUT BIN – EMPTY AND CLEAN FREQUENCY = DAILY DEPENDING ON VOLUME

02-image

The grout bin collects all the coffee grounds and should be emptied every day depending on volume. Remove the front panel (see step 1 above) by carefully sliding it out (bottom third of the front facia)

Once removed you will see the Blue grout bin that collects the used coffee grounds. There is a small handle available (top left) for pulling the grout bin out, then empty and clean.

The Korinto Coffee Machine has a counter to prompt you to empty the grout bin when full. If you do not empty the grout bin when prompted the machine will not allow you to make any more coffee based drinks. The grout bin must be removed while the door is closed or the machine will not recognise that it has been emptied. In this instance it will continue to display the “empty grout bin” message and you will be unable to dispense coffee based drinks.

Now we turn our attention to the top half of the front of the machine. Now turn the key (half way up on the left hand side) on the coffee machine to open the top front panel. Open the panel fully to access the components. With the front panel open you can now open the lid at the top of the machine.

Disconnect the three brown hoses on the nozzle carrier plate, then at the right hand side of the black tray there is a clip, put pressure on the clip and pull the tray towards you to remove for cleaning.

While holding the blue mixing bowl with one hand use the other hand to push the small green handle at the bottom of the mixing bowl counter clockwise to unlock. Then lift the milk hopper slightly and pull the blue mixing bowl out towards you to remove.

Once Removed you can split the mixing bowl into 3 pieces to assist in cleaning. Wash clean, dry and re-assemble. It is also worth checking that there are no blockages in the pipe as this can cause problems.

After cleaning the square end of the mixing bowl slides back into the square hole.
When in place rotate the green handle to lock it in place. Reconnect the brown hose to the bottom of the mixing bowl
